Late night in the studio browsing the new and coming soon releases and we came across something from the Toy Tonic label. Since learning of this imprint, we’ve heard a countless number of hot joints. Not expecting anything less than the bar they’ve set for themselves, we decide to hit play on a new single from Josh Ludlow.

The artists name is new to us, but we’re familiar with label mates Kapote and COEO. If iron sharpen irons we figure it’s worth pressing  play.

Immediately a hint of disco with a house twist is the vibe. 1980’s synthy with a consistent rubber band bass line. The progression of the track moves into this mid dramatic sound. Something about it brings a vision to mind of Studio 54 or any vibrant nightlife montage. Club hopping, good times, drinks flowing and dance moves that only the “nightlife” element can bring out. (Take from that what you may). The beat is mid tempo. House music like this brings people to the dance or. It motivates the shy to make a move. It breaths a second wind into the bar staff that makes the folks waiting in line not mind so much. They find themselves moving to the music as well.

Being that this single is yet to be released, only a sneak peak was provided, but it was more than a enough to convince us to make the PRE-ORDER. We strongly suggest that you do so yourselves.

The album this single derives from is titled “New Transitions” EP and it features 6 new tracks. Release day is set for February 7th, 2025.
