Here at the Rozzville Mansion studio Trust SA has been in the playlist for quite some time. Dating back to 2023 with the release of the collaboration between TimADeep and Trust SA. From there we set out on a journey to explore the South African soulful house sound.

The most recent release from Trust SA and Lebzin properly titled “Now Playing: Another Classic” released September 27th of 2024. Released on the Selebogo Capital Records label.

This music review was originally only focused on highlighting the single ” Losing Your Mind”, but this project is way too good to not speak on the entire album. So let’s start with “Losing Your Mind”. Immediately from the moment you press play you can hear that quality. The vibration of the bass line grabs a hold. “Losing Your Mind” rides the state line of where soulful house meats pure RnB. Just take a listen to the way the vocals are laid into the track. The title of the track should be ” The Antidote” because this is what you want to chill to when you feel like you’re losing your mind. Nice job on how Trust SA and Lebzin were able to play title against the actual production. Perhaps a brilliant oxymoron.

“#### mY sYNTH” and “Fantasy” were also stand outs for us. The rawness of “My synth” had a real underground tribal feel to it. Real hot and sweaty with remnants of the sticky in the air. You know what we’re talking about. Deep bass tone, slow and mathodical with very little assistance from too many audio layers. Sometimes less is a lot more.

“Now Playing” Another Classic” is a 6 track project that takes you on a nice trip. Good after work listening. Good Friday night set it off and for the driving clubs out there, good driving music.
